GCSEs

Achieving Success Together: An average class size of just eight and a maximum of 12 creates the perfect environment for students to participate, improve their confidence and fulfil their expectations.

GCSEs

Students can study a range of subjects and also deepen their understanding in the core areas of English, Maths and Science.

Although not a natural time to change schools, students join us for several reasons:

  • Their current school is too impersonal and class sizes are too large
  • They do not feel they are realizing their potential at their current school
  • They have just moved into the Manchester area

Our learning programmes mean that students can join us throughout the academic year, not just in September. There are many examples of students starting with us between October and January, and even later, and achieving very successful GCSE results.

Our small classes provide excellent support and place great emphasis on study skills and gaining independence in a nurturing environment. In Year 10, tutors focus on preparing the ground for Year 11, when learning is directed towards examination skills and consolidation of knowledge.

Pastoral care is especially important for these younger students, and we take their welfare very seriously.

We have a relaxed atmosphere that is markedly different from other schools, but it provides a clear structure for students to grow into confident, independent, responsible adults.

We are sensitive to individual needs, and are very successful in achieving both academic excellence and personal development in our students.

We offer 16 subjects at GCSE level.

  • EXCELLENT A LEVEL RESULTS

  • We are delighted with our A Level results this year and the most pleasing aspect is that, despite the concerns raised in the national press, almost all of our students have gained places in their chosen courses and universities.

Our value-added for A Level students is 1.5 grades above their baseline attainment and for Retake A Levels the average grade increase is 3 grades.

Congratulations to all our A Level students.
